Recipe: Apple Crumble Pie
CRUMBLE FANS BEWARE!
What distinguishes a crumble pie? No pie bottom and lots of sprinkles! Here's how it works:
INGREDIENTS:
4 baking apples, for instance, variety Pinova
1/2 lemon
125 g butter
115 g sugar
1 packet of vanilla sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
150 g flour
100 g ground almonds
Preparation:
Preheat the oven up to 180°C using above and below heating. Butter a baking dish. Peel the apples, remove the kernel and cut the slices into small pieces. Put the pieces into a bowl and sprinkle with little lemon juice, then spread it in the baking dish. For the sprinkles: melt butter. Put ground almonds, melted butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and cinnamon into another bowl and mix everything with your hands and crumble the sprinkles between your fingers. Spread the sprinkles on the apple basis.
Bake the pie in the oven for about 30 minutes until it becomes golden-brown.
Enjoy the apple crumble pie lukewarm!
Our tip:
To make the crumble pie beautifully juicy: use the apple variety Pinova[S] as a baking apple.
