Visit us at the Artevos stand!

From 24 to 27 January 2023, visitors to the IPM in Essen can find out about fruit novelties from Artevos at stand 7D30 in hall 7.

NEW FRUIT TREES WITH ADVANTAGEOUS CHARACTERISTICS

When it comes to choosing a variety, one is spoilt for choice, but useful advantages can be particularly helpful. The Artevos assortment has three fruit novelties in its baggage, which convince the hobby gardener not only with special taste experiences, but also with individual characteristics: a scab-tolerant (scab-resistant Rvi6) apple, a self-fertile sweet cherry and an extremely robust peach. Each variety scores in its own field. Here is a little taste:

TRAMIN[S] – THE TASTY ONE

The early variety promises flavours like the Gewürztraminer of the same name: aromatic, spicy, sweet, but at the same time with a noble acidity. A very healthy summer apple that is also scab-tolerant (scab-resistant Rvi6) and only slightly susceptible to mildew. Tramin[S] ripens about a week before Gala, in the South Tyrolean lowlands at the beginning of August.

SWING[R] PISUE192[S] – THE SELF-FERTILE ONE

As the name suggests, this sweet cherry will give any garden a buzz of new dynamism and enthusiasm! The early ripening time means that the fruits are not attacked by the cherry fruit fly, but that is not the only advantage of this early variety, as it is also one of the few varieties that is self-fertile and therefore does not need an additional cherry tree for fertilisation. Its large heart-shaped and dark red fruits (approx. 28 mm) have a delicious tasting, sweet aroma. The high sugar content and juiciness, coupled with the beautiful sight of the fruit, are a delight for all the senses.

MAJORITA[S] – THE ROBUST ONE

This peach variety is very robust against curl disease and is therefore best suited for private gardens and organic cultivation. It is also suitable for colder locations as the wood is very robust against forest damage. The very aromatic fruits have a yellow flesh that detaches very well from the skin. Therefore, the fruits can not only be used for fresh consumption, but are also particularly suitable for preserving.
